Lettrine.

Privacy Policy.

Last updated 13 October 2026

Lettrine collects no data. Your documents stay on your device. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising, and we never see what you scan.

Who we are

Lettrine is made by Dawid Płatek, who is responsible for your data under this policy. For any question about this policy or your data, write to dawidplatek@me.com.

What Lettrine keeps, and where

Lettrine keeps the pages you scan or import, the text read from them, and the details it fills in, such as the sender, dates, amounts and folder. All of it is stored on your device, in Lettrine’s protected storage. We have no server, and nothing is sent to us.

How documents are read

Apple Intelligence reads your documents on your device. Nothing you scan leaves the device to be read.

Lettrine never sends your documents to us or to an AI company. Settings › Privacy and AI shows how many of your documents were read on your device.

Permissions

Lettrine asks for each permission only when you use the feature that needs it:

What Lettrine doesn’t do

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. Apple’s privacy policy covers these.

How long your data is kept

Until you delete a document, or delete the app, which removes everything Lettrine stored. Device backups you make, to iCloud or a computer, include Lettrine’s data, as for any app.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Lettrine keeps your data only on your device, so you can do all of this yourself in the app. If you write to us, we use your message and email address only to reply, and delete them once the matter is closed. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Keeping originals

Lettrine is not a certified archive. Tax rules where you live may require you to keep the paper original or a certified copy.

This website

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other sites. Our host, Fly.io, may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a change affects what happens to your documents, the app’s update notes will say so.
